Preparation
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, hot sauce, and minced garlic.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs and add dried dill, salt, and black pepper.
- Slice the pickles into thick rounds and pat them dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
- Dredge the pickle slices in flour, dip them into the egg mixture, and coat them with panko breadcrumbs.
- Place the coated pickles in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
Cooking
- Cook for 10-12 minutes or until they turn golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through the cooking time.
Serving
- Serve with sour cream on the side for dipping.
Notes
Pat the pickles dry prior to coating to ensure the breading adheres better. Experiment with different dips; spicy ranch or garlic aioli complements the pickles wonderfully. For a thicker coating, repeat the dredging process by dipping back into the egg and breadcrumbs after the first coating.
