Ingredients

Pickles Coating
  • 1 tsp Dill, dried
  • 1 clove Garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup Onions, chopped
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 tbsp Hot sauce
  • 1/4 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp Black pepper
  • 3 tbsp Flour
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
Main Ingredient
  • 1 cup Pickles
Dipping Sauce
  • 1/4 cup Sour cream

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, hot sauce, and minced garlic.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs and add dried dill, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Slice the pickles into thick rounds and pat them dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
  5. Dredge the pickle slices in flour, dip them into the egg mixture, and coat them with panko breadcrumbs.
  6. Place the coated pickles in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
Cooking
  1. Cook for 10-12 minutes or until they turn golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through the cooking time.
Serving
  1. Serve with sour cream on the side for dipping.

Notes

Pat the pickles dry prior to coating to ensure the breading adheres better. Experiment with different dips; spicy ranch or garlic aioli complements the pickles wonderfully. For a thicker coating, repeat the dredging process by dipping back into the egg and breadcrumbs after the first coating.
