Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup pickle slices, patted dry Ensure pickles are well-drained for crispiness.
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs Feel free to use seasoned breadcrumbs for extra flavor.
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese You can substitute with different cheese types.
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder Adjust according to taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika Consider adding cayenne pepper for a spicy kick.
  • 1/2 cup egg whites or 1 beaten egg Eggs help the breadcrumbs adhere to the pickles.
  • as needed cooking spray Helps achieve a golden color and crunch.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a medium bowl, mix together the panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and paprika.
  2. In a separate bowl, prepare the egg whites or beaten egg.
  3. Dip each pickle slice into the egg mixture, allowing any excess to drip off.
  4. Coat the pickles in the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring they are fully covered.
  5. Place the coated pickles in the air fryer basket, making sure not to overcrowd them.
  6. Spray the pickles lightly with cooking spray for that perfect crunch.
  7. Air fry at 400 degrees F for about 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through for even cooking.

Notes

For best results, ensure pickles are dry before coating. Store any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in air fryer at 350 degrees F for a few minutes to restore crispiness.
