Preparation
- Wash and peel the apples. Core them and cut them into bite-sized cubes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cubed apples with brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Toss until the apples are evenly coated.
Cooking
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Lightly grease the air fryer basket with cooking spray or a small amount of melted butter.
- Place the seasoned apple cubes in the basket, spreading them out evenly for even cooking.
- Air fry the apples for about 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure they cook evenly, until they are tender and slightly caramelized.
- Once done, remove from the air fryer and toss with melted butter or coconut oil for added richness.
Notes
Best enjoyed fresh. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in air fryer or microwave. Consider adding chopped nuts or a dash of vanilla extract for extra flavor. Can customize with raisins or nutmeg.
