  • 1/2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp Ground cinnamon Adjust according to taste.
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 3 tbsp Sugar Can add brown sugar for extra sweetness.
  • 1/2 cup Milk Substitute with plant-based milk for a vegan option.
  • 1 spray Cooking spray For greasing the air fryer basket.

Preparation
  1. Preheat the air fryer according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  2. Slice the apples into rings and remove the core.
  3. In one bowl, combine the flour, cinnamon, salt, and sugar.
  4. In another bowl, whisk the egg and milk together.
  5. In a third bowl, place the breadcrumbs or crushed cornflakes.
  6. Dip each apple ring into the flour mixture, then into the egg mixture, and finally coat with the breadcrumbs.
Cooking
  1. Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
  2. Place the coated apple rings in the basket in a single layer, ensuring they don’t touch.
  3. Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 10-12 minutes or until golden and crispy.
Serving
  1. Serve warm and enjoy with optional toppings such as vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, or chopped nuts.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in the air fryer for a few minutes to restore crispiness. Freeze before frying if you have leftovers, just thaw before cooking.
