Preparation
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out your pizza dough on a floured surface and cut it into 5–6-inch circles.
- On one half of each circle, place a generous amount of mozzarella cheese and a few slices of pepperoni, leaving a small border around the edge.
- Fold the dough over to form a half-moon shape and press to seal the edges. Use a fork to crimp the edges for a decorative touch.
- Lightly brush the tops with olive oil and sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
- Arrange the calzones in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they aren’t touching.
- Cook for 8-10 minutes, or until the calzones turn golden brown and crispy.
- Serve hot, and enjoy each delightful bite.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C). You can freeze uncooked calzones; just add a few extra minutes to the cooking time when baking from frozen. Consider using parchment paper in the air fryer basket for easier cleanup.
